HDFC Debit cards has come up with a super offer for those who shop regularly at Amazon India. Now you will get a flat 5% cash back on all your purchase above Rs. 5000 at Amazon using your HDFC Debit Card. Get 5% cashback (in the form of reward points) on purchase on Amazon.in (mobile app and web and mobile site) on successful single transaction net of refunds on HDFC debit Cards on purchases of Rs. 5000 and above. Cancelled items/orders will not be eligible for cashback. Minimum amount to get cash back is Rs. 5000 and the cash back will be in the form of HDFC Rewards points which you can login to your Netbanking and redeem it online.
There is no clear mention of not applicable on Amazon Gift Cards and hence I guess we can also buy Amazon Gift Cards using this offer to get double benefits of Amazon 5% discount on GC (using code: GCOFF500, SAVEGC50, etc) and this HDFC cash back.
Offer Terms and Conditions
a. This marketing program ("Offer") is provided to you by HDFC Bank Limited ("HDFC"/ "Bank").
b. It is open to all residents of India holding a valid and current debit card issued by HDFC (such persons hereinafter referred to as "Cardholders(s)" and such card hereinafter referred to as "Card").
c. The Offer will begin on July 01, 2016 and will continue till March 31, 2017 (both days inclusive) ("Offer Duration"), unless extended by HDFC in its sole discretion.
d. Under this Offer, the Bank will provide Cardholder(s), "cashback reward points" worth 5% of their order value, with maximum cash points worth INR 500 per month per Card, for every order of INR 5000 or above made by Cardholders on www.amazon.in or the mobile application thereof ("Website") using their Card during the Offer Duration (as defined hereinafter). Orders which have been cancelled by either the purchaser or the seller or orders for which a return or refund has been initiated will not be eligible for the Offer.
e. For avoidance of doubt, the Bank will provide Cardholders with the relevant cash points for each order (made in accordance with these terms and conditions) individually and cumulative orders (of INR 5,000 or above) will not be considered for such purposes.
f. Further, the Offer will be valid on all debit cards issued by the Bank and held by the Cardholders except for JetPrivilege Debit Card; Netsafe card; Maestro or virtual card transactions. Cardholders undertaking net-banking transactions on the Websites will also not be eligible for the Offer.
g. Each cash point will be equivalent to INR 1. Cash points will be posted in the debit card account of eligible Cardholders 90 days after the end of every calendar month. The cash points need to be redeemed by logging into net-banking or through phone-banking facilities offered by the Bank, for credit to Cardholders' primary account linked to the debit card.
h. Any tax, service charge or other charges levied with regards to the Offer, may be borne by the Cardholder.
i. Following purchases or payments shall not be considered for the Offer:
1. Cash on delivery;
2. Forex booking, betting and gambling based transactions;
3. Funds transfer to another account using debit card;
4. Any fraudulent transactions;
5. Any transaction that may be deemed illegal or unauthorized at the time of declaring the cash points.
j. HDFC reserves the right to disqualify the Cardholder(s) from the benefits of the Offer, if any fraudulent activity is identified as being carried out for the purpose of availing the benefits under the said Offer or otherwise by use of the Card.
