Roadies a reality show on MTV has come up with a contest where you need to predict who is the next person going to get voted out in the next coming episode. You need to send an SMS with the term “ROADIES” and the name of the Roadie who is going to be voted out and send that to the premium short code 56882.
Regardless of whether your voted roadie gets eliminated or not you will be getting a free Giftmate Voucher delivered to your mobile phone which you can later use to buy any products across the 3000 online shopping portals across India. The amount in which you receive the Giftmate gift voucher is not mentioned anywhere at all but heard that the gift voucher is for Rs. 200.

The SMS should be sent between Saturday 9 p.m. to next Saturday 7 p.m., the time in which the episode starts. One advice I would give is that if you don’t watch the Roadies in MTV, try to look at their website given below to look for who have already been eliminated and avoid sending that name to prevent from being not getting the free gift voucher.
The Giftmate that you receive through this offer is valid for 7 days only.
I tried to send an SMS to them but received an error message back, tried twice within a span of 8 hours but still got the same error message not sure why.

No idea what happened, whether they had overwhelming response to it and hence stopped the offer or not, not sure. I would like if someone here had tried from today and be able to send the SMS successfully or not, kindly mention it here in the comments, so that others will know whether the issue is permanent or has been rectified or only for a specified mobile provider, etc. Each SMS costs you Rs. 3 and hence don't try to send repeat SMS to this number if you get the same error message, you might even end up spending more on the SMS than the actual value of the voucher. Play it safe here.
All the other terms and conditions apply for this offer too, i.e., you cannot transfer this gift voucher to anyone else, it cannot be exchanged for cash, and only one voucher will be sent per mobile number.

Yes, you can avail this offer even if you have already availed it before, I guess!! As such terms were not at all mentioned anywhere in both mtv and giftmate site.

I had sent 3 sms with different Roadies name and got successful messages returned back that you have predicted vote out of Roadie Sonel.
But its more than 11 days now and no voucher as yet. U sure na that's its applicable for existing users like us also?

You shouldn't have sent three sms's to vote from the same mobile, as it was not allowed, you should have waited with only one vote.
I guess it is applicable for existing users too, as they have not specified anything like that, but not sure as its them ultimately who decide it, not us.

I would suggest you to not vote again, as it might make the issue worse. Try waiting till this week and if the offer is still there next week, vote then, but only once till u get the confirmation that you have voted out someone!
I sent sms twice because i had gotten some error message after sending it.
This time, only luck could get you a giftmate voucher, if they did not consider your other votes! I hope this helps you. Best of luck!

Giftmate has really played its game. I tried activating the voucher I gt thru sms and this is wht message I got:
"Sorry! You have already received a voucher. Pls log on to www.giftmate.co.in to top up ur account."
The above implies that existing numbers can't get vouchers :( and this is what I found on their site also :
Terms:
*Existing GiftMate users are not eligible for 7-day trial vouchers.
*Every customer is eligible for only 1 free GiftMate voucher (of any value) from each specific promotion.

@varun, i am really sure that only one voucher will be sent, even next week if you send an sms. Here's what i got for your from their terms
"Each Customer (unique mobile number) will be eligible for only one GiftMate voucher during the promotion period irrespective of the number of smses sent"
Can you also tell me where you got the terms regarding "Existing GiftMate users are not eligible for 7-day trial vouchers." as i could not find it at roadies terms and conditions.

Can you tell me where did u get the voucher from MTV. I got it as sms in my cell and it had to be activated at their site. Did u do that? Was ur cell number not already registered??

I am an existing giftmate voucher I used 5 cell phones to sms the roadies contest and got Rs.200 on all of them when you activate the voucher just be sure to use a different e-mail address than the one which you had used then you will not get the error message while activating the voucher. If you dont remember which e-mail you had used earlier then just check-out your profile in the giftmate account. You can also avail for a Rs.50 giftmate voucher from zapak so in total it becomes Rs.250 giftmate voucher. Although its mentioned on zapak that the voucher can be redeemed on zapak only it can be redeemed elsewhere too. Good luck!

I think you are not eligible for the offer on futurebazaar with the giftmate vouchers that you get for free as they have mentioned that this offer cannot be clubbed with any other offer so I think you have to buy a giftmate voucher in order to get the watches. Anyways you can try it out or just gather all the money in indiaplaza gift vouchers and buy something else of greater value.
The roadies Vikrant, Ankita, Vibhor, Varun have already been voted out so make sure you sms some other names.

Just to give u a brief idea, this is promotional offer by Zapak.com for making people play at their website.
They have started earning cah tournament where u need points to play. Points have to be purchased by paying money.1 rupee=10 points.
So Infact for starters they are gifting 50 Rs=500 points so that people play on their site.
To know more, I guess Shiva would be sending across the mail tomorrow regarding this. I myself is not so much clear on this.

i think this offer is operator specific. here in chennai i tried a lot fetchin this offer from aircel mob number but always got error sms whereas wid vodafone and airtel spot reply.... so those in TN dont try wid aircel and waste ur money as i wasted 24rs:(

@Varun, Only one gift voucher will be sent regardless of how many times you participate in the contest. You cannot send any more sms, don't waste your sms charges, you will not get anymore giftmate vouchers as you have already got one.

whenever i try to buy any product from say rediff.com or so, on paymate
transaction window, it says transaction pending...awaiting user update.but the SMS for buying doesn't come at that time.it comes after an hour or so, and by that time transaction gets killed due to time out. what to do??? plz help
Yesterday at 4:30 am, i shopped at indiatimes shopping for Rs. 130 via giftmate account...
Everything went fine and paymate website appeared that payment was successful and it was about to redirect to merchants website(i.e. indiatimes shopping)...
and all of a sudden an error message appeared on indiatimes stating....
"JSP Processing Error HTTP Error Code: 404
Error Message:JSPG0036E: Failed to find resource /paymate/paymateresponse.jsp,http:/203.199.76.72/iPaymentGateway/paymate/paymateresponse.jsp"
Now my account has been debited from giftmate and the status on indiatimes shopping appears that "OUP Waiting For Gateway Response"....
I even have the transaction ID as proof....
Can anyone plz help me out and suggest me on what step should i take next...
You should contact the customer service of indiatimes shopping and explain your situation in a detailed mail with the transaction id and proof that you receivd.

Don't worry dude. I have faced the same issue last time around. I contacted customer care of Indiatimes and they asked me to wait fr 24 hours and after that u wud get the status. If your money has been debited, then it would surely reflect on ur order status.
If by chance it doesn't you can always contact giftmate and provide all the details. Ur whole money wud be credited back to you within 5 working days. I am lucky that I have had fullsupport from Giftmate in such issues in past. All the best
